HET ZOMEROFFER
The car was sacrificed in Het Zomeroffer (The Summersacrifice). For 35 nights, theater collective De Warme Winkel destroyed a car each evening as an offering to the climate. To lend the event some artistic flair, Touki Delphine composed the music for this theatrical spectacle. Inspired by Le Sacre du Printemps by Igor Stravinsky, Touki’s music echoed through the Amsterdam Forest.
Now the music has been released on a record and can be heard outside the Amsterdam Forest as well.
